Tom's Noggin

Basically I'm learning edge looping from the ground up and after a heated battle with Maya I finally managed to install some new plugins that aided greatly in producing what I have thus far.. It's still in a primative stage but I'm taking this slowly so I learn with the tutorial.

I am redmodelling my robo-rabbit Eco! and attempting to delve into more advanced modelling like using mudbox and z-brush to help smooth him further.. maya fur might even help this time around..

Back to the drawing board (dammit)

Well due to my unfortunate circumstances it appears that no matter how hard I've tried to modify the X-Wolf model provided by Charlotte I cannot seem to make accrate corrections for my animation idea. I have added multiple spines and completed a working ribcage with driven keys to smooth the motion well enough to animate at a decent level without breaking the rig. Though there is something I cannot fix no matter how hard I try.. The Rig on it's elbows decides that it wants the bones to stick out whenever I bend them. And after five hours in the lab yesterday I decided that I had had enough with this idea! And my problems don't even begin to describe a polygonal malfunction that I picked up somewhere during skinning that for some reason the pc occasionally glitches and the wolf looks like something out of Hellraiser! Me and Natan both couldn't figure out what the heck was going on.. So yet another reason I decided to abandon all of my hard work.. -_-;;

On the plus side at least I'm not loseing any animation in the end because I haven't even gotten that far!!! >_< So now here I am back on the warpath and attempting to catch up again. My new idea is simplier as it applies to a motion that *can* be done with the models provided. I plan on useing the Triceratops rig located in the MAYA_RIGS folder to animate a cat-like motion featuring the big lug. This should be entertaining to watch and maybe even a little confuseing to the audience due to the mixture of subject manner..

I've been doing reasearch on this jumping idea and I think it would be good practice cosidering my last project featured a jump also. This will further develop weight distribution and balance physics for my own benefit.

Refrences of cats jumping..
